Embark on an upstream odyssey from Luang Prabang with a seamless personalized embarkation. Enjoy a gourmet lunch onboard as you cruise upstream, then cast a line for some onboard fishing before mooring at the serene, verdant shores of Ban-Keang Hang Yai for sunset cocktails and a signature BBQ dinner with open bar.
While you enjoy breakfast, the Gypsy continues along the Mekong River until you reach Ban Baw, a small Khmu village, where you will observe traditional weaving before returning to the Gypsy for lunch onboard. In the afternoon, join an onboard cooking class, then disembark to visit Pak Beng and Ban Kham to watch local villagers at work forging knives. The Gypsy docks here for the evening, where cocktails and canapés are served on deck ahead of dinner onboard with open bar.
The Gypsy cruises through unspoiled nature toward Ban Paksith while breakfast is served onboard. At Ban Paksith, observe villagers pounding rice and preparing bamboo sticky rice, and be welcomed with a traditional Baci ceremony before returning to the Gypsy, where lunch is served onboard. The Gypsy continues cruising upstream to Ban Houy Nor Khom, where you'll have the option to visit and observe a Hmong village and enjoy a musician's performance. The Gypsy docks at a sandbank in Ban Houy Souk for refreshments, followed by dinner onboard with open bar.
Gypsy continues on to Ban Pak Tha and further to the Chiang Khong District. At Huay Xai, you'll disembark and be transferred through visa and immigration fast-track services, before being escorted into Thailand by a member of the Mekong Kingdoms team.
